As such, your company have invested in the product. They also need to invest in you. You CANNOT "pick up" the DataMapper by asking a few questions on here. I had to spend days/weeks trying things out (and getting things very wrong) before I managed to get to grips with it. Since it is a product Talend bought and included, the interface and way of thinking is totally different to the rest of Talend. I strongly suggest you ask your company to put you on a DataMapper course. It will be cheaper for them in the long run.
