What does your job requirement look like? Have you already checked component reference about:TalendHelpCenter:tMap and TalendHelpCenter:tMap operation?

Sabrina,
I am working in a re-engineering project where we are converting Ab-initio to Talend. There is a component in Ab-Initio called "Join with DB". I want to achieve the same functionality in talend. For that purpose I need to know this. I found there is an option in tMap "create join table from". So, I wanted to explore the functionality of this in tMap.
