How to add additional component in talend !

i have file tFileRename.zip and i have added using

Windows---> Preference ---> Component

but it is not showing in the palette section

i have followed the exact steps mentioned above and verified also ! still i am not getting that component in Palette !!

can version number is problem?

@meetmahajan,can you check in Project Settings,did you able to see that component.

Edit Project settings.

@meetmahajan, did you follow the step 1?

Update of a custom component

Talend Studio does not recognize automatically the changes made to the custom components folder. If you make changes to components located in the custom component folder, you can apply the changes by taking one of the following steps.

Press the Shift+Ctrl+F3 key combination to reload the components.
Restart Talend Studio to reload the components.
Go to Preferences > Talend > Component of your Talend Studio and click on Apply to take the edits into account.

We didn't find this custom component tfilerename on talend exchange portal.

Can you please clarify in which Talend version/edition you are? Is it compatible with your current studio?

It does not seem to be working for talend latest released v 7.0.

How about renaming a file with the tSystem component by using commands?
