Not able to Connect to Teradata DB

Hello,

I am not able to connect to Teradata DB. I did try to install the Jars when in prompted, but i am still not able to connect to it. Any help is appreciated.

hi @Nikhil Tabjula ,

Please also mention the Talend Studio Version also.

For now could you try with old jar version for the Teradata component.

Might be you are using newer version of Teradata whose class definition is not in Java 1.8

try with this attached option too.

Add 2 tLibraryLoad and use the below jars

1) tdgssconfig.jar

2) terajdbc4.jar

Hi Prakhar,

My Studio Version is

Talend Real-time Big Data Platform

Version: 7.3.1

Build id: 20200219_1130

I tied the above option too and got the same error.

In my opinion you have two option

1) try with jdk 11, as Talend 7.3 has new jars for its component which is not suitable with jdk 1.8

2) Or try to downgrade the TeraData jdbc driver file, may be use 15.10.00.37 version

For Option # 1 , I can't use JDK 11 as it is corrupting my work on another platforms.

For Option # 2 : the version of Teradata we have , our DBA s are recommending to use only the *16.20* jar.

Any other help that I can get, will be appreciated. Thanks again for all the inputs.
