Log Mode and Stream Mode missing in Create Change Data Capture

Hi,

I am trying to set up CDC in Oracle Redo/Archive log mode (and later in Oracle XStream mode). I have been following the online tutorial but am stuck in the step where we need to create CDC for the source data connection.

The Create Change Data Capture window only has "Trigger mode" in its options. The "Log mode" and "Stream mode", which I see in the tutorials are not visible. How can I enabled these?

Hi Sabrina,

I am using Talend Studio (Data Integration) version 6.4.1. Build 20170623_1246.

Downloaded the enterprise edition with a 30 day trial license.

The Oracle Database I am connecting to is 12c. Is that why the log mode is not available? It wasn't specified in the tutorial but I read in the tOracleCDC component that log mode is only available when the DB Version is 11-6 and below.

So, if I'm using 12c, I'll need to set up the database to use XStream?
