topic Install SAP RFC server on same system as remote engine and runtime? in Installing and Upgrading

We are running Talend 7.3.1 in a hybrid installation. While TMC is running in the Talend Cloud the Remote Engine and Runtime (installed on the same server) is on-prem in our company network. Now the Talend SAP RFC server needs to find its place. Is it possible to install it on the same server as Remote Engine and Runtime are installed? Besides the fact that this will create some kind of "single point of failure" ;-).

Many thanks in advance for your support.

Norbert

Update:

Finally we installed the SAP RFC server on the same system as Remote Engine and Runtime are running. You need to adjust the configuration to use the already available JMS broker on "localhost" though.

The SAP RFC server is not heavily used up to now but runs without any problems. We'll have a look at the server resources (CPU, memory ...) when usage increases.
