Unable to install the latest patch for Talend Open Studio for ESB 8.0.1

Hi@ll,

the latest patch (R2022-01v2) for Talend 8 is available. (https://update.talend.com/Studio/8/updates/latest/) I want to install it.

As described here: https://help.talend.com/r/en-US/8.0/release-notes-data-fabric

I have also done it.

Nothing happens, no update is found.

Where is my mistake?

How can I install the latest patch?

I'm afraid we do not provide patches for TOS versions. Only the subscription versions receive patches.

OK, that explains why I can't install the patch. I had expected that I could do this https://jira.talendforge.org/browse/APPINT-34285?focusedCommentId=1017964&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels%3Acomment-tabpanel

Since there is an update function in TOS, I would have expected it to work. An error message would have been nice 🙂

Then I just have to wait longer.

Talend Studio is based on Eclipse. As such, there are some components of Eclipse which remain in the product and can (as in this case) be misleading. I will raise this with the team. Thanks for raising this.
