Unable to load metafile

Hi all,

I am new to Talend software so have no knowledge of it at all, looking for some assistance if possible.

I work in IT Support for a large company and have been asked to package and deploy Talend Data Fabric to multiple users, we package software using SCCM 2012 and deploy to users on Windows 10 Enterprise x64 devices.

I am trying to test the installer by running it locally on my device (Talend Support have provided us with a license key and URL to download the Talend installer) and am getting an error stating 'Unable to load metafile' in the Talend dialog box. For reference I am trying to install v7.0.1 and I believe it is Talend Studio.

I also received an error stating that the logs have been provided in the root folder of the software, which I have attached for your viewing pleasure!

If anyone can offer any help that would be great, I don't know if there are any prerequisite installers I need to run prior to installing Talend, so if anyone can provide assistance it would be hugely appreciated.

Hello Russ,

Are you using JDK 1.8? Did you set the java home as mentioned in installation guide?

I am facing the same issue, unable to load metafile in my both computers. Do you know how to fix it? I am connecting from home not proxy restrictions.

We found that the dlm version of the installer goes out and tries to pick up additional files from the Internet. Our firewall prevents this. Our solution was to use the non-dlm version of the installer. For version 7.1 it was about 2.7GB.
