Where does Talend store the information for the "Preferences" window?

Hello,

Please go to <your_workspace_location>/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings/ and you will find many .setting files.

There is no fixed position for that and It will be named by your plugin.

Thanks. This does show where the values are but it seems talend pulls some defaults (e.g. the log4j template) from somewhere else and that is where I was wondering about?
