topic Talend Open Studio 7.2.1 starting error - fresh install on RedHat 7.6 in Installing and Upgrading

Hello,

after a fresh installation on RHEL 7.6 (selecting the "Custom" path available with Talend-Installer-20190620_1446-V7.2.1-linux64-installer.run): OpenStudio is not starting.

All other Server services - TAC, JobServer, Monitorserver, command line server - are working fine.

This is the extract of the log file: "java.lang.RuntimeException: You need a config.ini file to start the product"

For completeness: I attach the full error message.

If I attempt a re-install for the only Client component (setting env variable JAVA_HOME to a JDK and PATH according to it) the issue persists.

Thanks in advance for your support

Hello Sabrina,

sorry for the late response (your response was tagged as spam from my business mail srv).

I followed the link; in particular with the re-installation process I executed the "Client Type" installation (with proper setting for JAVA_HOME and PATH).

I had only a doubt about "Installing the XULRunner package": I changed the .ini file at the end of the installation; in my case the file was /opt/Talend-7.2.1/studio/Talend-Studio-linux-gtk-x86_64.ini

Thanks in advance for your support
