Thomas Reiss,
In most cases, this error is due to Windows Unzipper. But here I don't know.
Can you try to download 2.4 again ? Maybe the archive you have downloaded is corrupted ?

Oops, I'm sorry, I mismatched the versions. Version 2.3.2 works perfectly here.
Version 2.4.0 create a log file containing the following :

I guess you are trying with gij.
Are you sure you are using Sun's JVM (maybe others work too, but as far as I knom gij doesn't) ?
I was just wondering because
java version "1.5.0"
looks like a gij version, not Sun's JVM (that was for edlundj).
Clue for Thomas Reiss : may be it's a problem with Java 1.6. I had problems with that version (actually it's an Eclipse problem with that version).
May be you could try with Java 1.5 if it's possible for you (you should run a from scratch installation of TOS 2.4.0, do not try to rune again the installation that crashed with Java 1.6)

I think the problem comes from the ibm jvm or rather the code generated by Talend, which for some components, does not work with the IBM JVM.
it's a known problem. without workaround for the moment
I do have jave 1.6 installed.
