At the first time to start Talend Studio, it cannot fetch the license when we are in the network behind the http/https proxy.

We received "Network Error" dialog finally.

Causes

Talend Studio lack the setting http/https proxy feature for the fetching license.

Workaround

Edit "Talend-Studio-win-x86_64.ini", and append below lines like:

-Dhttp.proxySet=true
-Dhttp.proxyHost=proxyhost
-Dhttp.proxyPort=80
-Dhttps.proxyHost=proxyhost
-Dhttps.proxyPort=80
-Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=localhost|127.|[::1]|10.|172.16.|192.168.

Products

Talend Cloud Summer '18

Talend Cloud Fall '18

Important Side effects

This workaround cause something git problem. The git https repository with the local issued certification raised error like:

org.eclipse.jgit.api.errors.TransportException: https://git.server/talend_project: git-upload-pack not permitted

I strongly recommend you to remove this workaround settings when you have got the license.
