good afternoon, while I was running Talend Studio ( rel. 6.2.2 ) my pc suddenly crashed and powered off : after that Talend Studio didn't start anymore even if I have reinstalled the product.

Talend Studio start, connect to projects, open the initial page and after few seconds stop to work and close.

What I have done is :

- uninstalled T.S., manually removed from the disk the workspace and installation folders;

- unistalled Java VM;

- run CCleaner to clean registry;

- restarted the PC;

- installed the Java VM ( ver 8.1 );

- installed Talend Studio rel. 6.2.2 with the installation kit used for the first installation ( which was running fine);

But the problem hasn't been solved.

Runnig T.S. the log file report a lot of errors, one of them says "MESSAGE 2018-12-19 16:10:53,643 ERROR org.talend.repository.localprovider.model.LocalRepositoryFactory - try to load wrong item:NIKE_INP_invoices_TEST / Job Designs". NIKE_INP_invoices_TEST was the job I was modifing when the PC crash happened but it has been removed from the repository moreover the TAC has been restarted too.

Honestly I don't know what to do more to solve.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards.

Thanks for your reply as first Sabrina, attached the copy of .log file. In the meantime I have installed and run Talend-Studio 6.2.2 on a new PC ( always in a Win 10 environment / 64 bit ) but the same case occurs unfortunately.

I don't install properly the product, it's clear but honestly I don't know where is my mistake.

Prior Talend-Studio installation I have installed JVM rel. 8.

Many thanks for your support.

- my profile runs properly from another client;

- my client doesn't run with profiles different than mine;

- I have run multiple installations both filling the license file field or leaving it empty;

Hello,

You have to install JDK 1.8.

For v6 of Talend products JDKv1.8 is required instead of JRE. If that requirement is met, ensure JDK bin is included in your PATH environment variable and is being reached.

Best regards

Hi Sabrina, yes that error is still coming.

The log file attached has been generated this morning.

Do you think the error could be solved installing the release 7?

In my Company we are currently using the release 6.2.2 ( the version I was running when the failure happened ) : should it be possible for me to install release 7 ?

I hav just reinstalled the Studio by a different source ( Always 6.2.2 ) but the problem remains.

I have also installed an updated jdk version : the 8.0_191

Looking at the Studio directory I have found another log file ( attached ) which describes a Java EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) but it is difficult for me to understand its reason.

Hi Sabrina, I wish you a beautiful 2019 as first.

The upgrade to version 7 is planned within June, unfortunately I can't upgrade before that data because I must work by the same version used from my team.

The problem is still occurring: next week I will ask for a RAM upgrade ( now are 4 GB ) and I am confident to solve.

I will keep you update.

The problem still occurred so I have :

- disconnected my pc from the net;

- run Studio opening a local project;

- reconnected the pc to the net;

- restarted Studio;

and now it runs properly;
