Startup Error

Anyone know how to solve the Java error " Can't find Profile: _SELF_ ". I deleted projects in my workspace, and since then, I'm receiving this error attempting to open a local project in Talend 8. Talend starts loading and displays "Getting Default Profile" on the progress windows, then crashes. See attached file for details.

Hello,

Could you please test to create a new "Remote Connection" using a "brand new" workspace folder to see if you reproduce the issue in this case too?

Hi Sabrina,

Thanks for your response. I've tried creating a new remote connection with a new workspace folder, and the issue persists. I can't open any projects in Talend.

Hello,

Maybe the <studio>/configuration/config.ini is broken?

Could you please try to update these parameters inside the config.ini:

eclipse.p2.profile=profile

org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator.configUrl=file\:org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator/bundles.info

Please don't forget to restart your studio after that.

Feel free to let us know if this workaround helps.

A jira issue has been raised for that.
