<S>Maybe the problem comes from my java_home which is set to java 1.8 (windows env) </S>?

I have set java_home to jdk 11, but still have the same pb.

<S>I launch Talend OS using a .bat with option -vm to use jdk 11.</S>

Loïc

Hi,

I'm using Talend Open Studio for Data Integration (8.0.1).

In Preferences I have set "Installed JREs" to JDK 11 but in "Compiler" JDK Compliance level is set to 1.8.

If I change compliance level to 11, click on "apply" and restart Talend OS, the setting will goes back to 1.8.

In other words I can"t change compliance level to 11. Why ?? I would like my job to be compiled in java 11 level!

Help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards

Loïc

@Milliere Loic

The compiler compliance level always need to keep 1.8 .

Compile job with other higher levels are not fully tested and supported officially no matter for DI or bigdata jobs.

For the limitations of run job with java 11 you can refer to this.

Regards

Shong

Thank you Shong for your answer, that's very clear.

Might be useful to have that information in the documentation (if not yet),

I have spend times trying to change level because I have not found (maybe my fault) answer in doc...

Best Regards
