Disabling ajp connecter from tomcat 7

we have some security concern in tomcat 7 related to ajp connecter.
I am planning to comment out the ajp connecter code in server.xml.

We are just using tac runtime server. no load-balancer

With my smoke test I am not seeing any issue.But I am not sure what will be the impact of this .

What is the role of this ajp connecter .In documentation I am not finding much about the use case of it

Could anyone suggest .

I will suggest you to ask for help about AJP connector on Tomcat forum. You might get a better explanation there.

I was looking for information where TAC WEB uses this connector so that I can test that particular area.
