Cannot create excel file in Metadata (TOS 7.2)

Hello,

I have just installed TOS 7.2 on my machine - OS Windows 7 on 64 bit with plenty of memory and disk space. I have downloaded all packages ( with some difficulties since I have a VPN but I was able to run he downloads offline VPN which was great).

The issues is I still cannot create an excel file in Metadata(while for other files types, xml, csv, Metadata seems OK) and getting these two error logs:

Framework EventError:

"java.util.zip.ZipException: Exception in opening zip file: C:\TOS_DI-20190620_1446-V7.2.1\configuration\.m2\repository\org\talend\libraries\jxl-wizard\6.0.0\jxl-wizard-6.0.0.jar

and

Unhandled event loop exception:

"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: jxl/read/biff/BiffException
at org.talend.repository.ui.wizards.metadata.connection.files.excel.ExcelFileStep1Form.addFieldsListeners(ExcelFileStep1Form.java:473)
at org.talend.metadata.managment.ui.wizard.AbstractForm.setupForm(AbstractForm.java:193)...etc.

Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: jxl.read.biff.BiffException cannot be found by org.talend.repository.metadata_7.2.1.20190610_1534
at org.eclipse.osgi.internal.loader.BundleLoader.findClassInternal(BundleLoader.java:511)
at org.eclipse.osgi.internal.loader.BundleLoader.findClass(BundleLoader.java:422)..etc."

A bit more info:

eclipse.buildId=unknown
java.version=1.8.0_31
java.vendor=Oracle Corporation
BootLoader constants: OS=win32, ARCH=x86_64, WS=win32, NL=en_US
Command-line arguments: -os win32 -ws win32 -arch x86_64

Hi Daniela
Studio v7.2. requires Java minimum version 1.8.0_161, so please upgrade Java version to higher version and test again.
Note that only Java 8 or 11 are supported Java environment.

Thank you so much for your message. I have installed the JRE 1.8.0_251 and also set up the system variable JAVA_HOME to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_251" and added it to the PATH variable but no luck. TOS doesn't even start..it gives me the below message:

Not sure what else to so..I would ask for help, again

PS Checked JRE version on cmd and it is as per expected: 1.8.0_251.
