Talend Open Studio for Big Data and Azure Data Lake Store

How can I connect Talend to Azure Data Lake Store? It's not in the dropdown list, and I can't find much of anything about it on the interwebs.

There is currently no specific components for it. We recommend interfacing with Azure Data Lake with REST API calls. Hence, you can use tRest or tRestClient components today to integrate with it.

Dear talend community,

is this still the case as of March 2018?

I am confused since this link seems to explain how to write to the azure data lake store :

and in step 7 it says one should select the correct version. As the previous poster pointed out, I do not see anything for azure there (cloudera, hortonworks,... is present) in talend open studio for big data 6.5.1.20180116.

Is there anywhere an example of such a call? What ports/protocols does talend use to communicate with Azure Data Lake Store?
