Data Integration upgrade 7.1 to 7.2

Good morning,

I have some doubts on how the upgrade process works for Talend Data Integration. The documentation is not very clear (probably I'm not understanding it properly) and I'd like to get some clarification if anybody can provide such.

Is this upgrade managed by the Software update section on TAC or this is only for patches?

Do I need to re-install the components?

Do all these version update paths require such a "reinstall" upgrade (for example from 7.1.x to 7.2.x to 7.3.x, etc)? Patches managed with the software update on TAC seems a much simpler process.

The Software update is for patches, you don't need to re-install the components in a new version of studio, some migration process will be run automatically when you open the project in a new version of studio for the first time. For product upgrade, I would suggest you to contact Talend consultants or open a ticket on Talend Support portal.
