[resolved] Talend TIS Install on Win 7 - Path too long

I recently got the latest version of TIS and am trying to unzip the package on Windows 7 but keep receiving "path too long" errors. Anyone have a solution to this?

Try to extract the zip file to harddisk? eg: d:/tis/tis323

I am currently extracting to hard disk.
I download, open, click extract, set the location ( hard drive ) and click next.
Part of the way through I get Path too long errors.

I had that problem also. For errors like file paths too long I found a free program that does the trick. Try this - http://www.longpathtool.com

Which tool do you use for unzipping it ? Try 7zip.

You can delete too long file using www.longpathtool.com

Yes why not. I have also face this type of error problems and I have used ?Long Path Tool? in this situation and it helped me easily and quickly. This tool can fix all the error messages like:
1. Path too long
2. Cannot delete file: cannot read from source file or disk
3. Cannot delete file: Access is denied
4. There has been a sharing violation.
5. The source or destination file may be in use.
6. The file is in use by another program or user.
7. The file name you specified is not valid or too long. Specify a different file name.
and all other related error messages.

Long path error!
"Long path tool" is very helpful for this problem. You can solve this problem like copy, delete, long path files by using this tool.
I used to have similar problems too, but after using "long path tool" everything was solved.

I had the same problem. I didn´t know what to do so I searched on the internet for some solutions.

And I read about Long Path Tool, which is a great tool in these type of cases.

It worked really well. Hope it works for you too
