Oracle Retrieve schema doesn't work

Hi.

I have upgrade talend version from 5.3 to 6.5.1

I have import the oracle db connection from the previous version. If I use the table already in the table schema as toracleinput the job work correctly.

If I try to add a new table in the retrieve schema like the figure above

but no table is in my table list

If I try to add schema directly from the schema list like the table "PROVA"

when I press the finish button I have this error

Why this?

Are you able to create a new oracle DB connection and retrieve schema on v 6.5 successfully ?

Hello - I am experience the same with Oracle 12.1x.

I have the Oracle 12.1x sid connector working and a simple "select * from scott.dept" query working.

The "retrieve schema" for SCOTT however does not work.

What am I doing wrong? Sorry for missing the obvious. Thanks AR

Hello @ar ,

The M1 of Talend Open Studio v7.2.1 is milestone version and for testing only. Could you please try to use released version 7.1.1 to see if this issue repro?

Hi Sabrina...7.1.1.x error attached with [next] button disabled during interactive view schema:

Oracle 12.102 on Centos6.6 inside MAC fusion.

Did you enter the filter you want to use in the dialog box?

Yes I did.

I have the demo working with Oracle during interactive sessions... I just won't show the "touch a button for schema stuff" in the demo.

Have a custom module doing some #ai with text analytics running in the demo. You have a great software, easy to use.

Good question, but I don’t think so. I’m assuming your schema reader traverses Oracle dictionary (all_tables, all_views). The Scott/tiger schema (Scott schema was what I wanted to read) is aviablave to all. Anyhow, feel free to close this thread. Apologize for keeping it open (I can’t figure how to close it). Cheers!
