--------------
java.version=1.4.2_04
---------------
Please update your jvm. Talend needs java 1.5 or 1.6 to run.

In a window terminal, enter the following command to check your java version : java -version
If the response is 1.4.2 so the issue might be in your PATH variable which aim to the old java path.

Hi
I have exactly the same problem.
In the logfile is the 1.4.x version but when i type "java -version" it prints the installed 1.6.x version.
May be the default search path for classes was set to a different location?
Is it possible to set the search path by commandline argument or ini parameter?
Just for info, i have a 1.4.x javaversion on my disk. Its in the Oracle DB install path.
Thanks for any help.

Hi
Ok, my problem is solved.
The hint with the path variable was good.
In the first place i overlooked the small "\jre" :-)
Thanks anyway.
