Previously I installed a different version of jdk.Now I am using 5.6.22 which is working well with talend.

Hi, is there a reason why jdk is needed when documentation for TOS states JRE is needed? How do I go about installing and configuring JDK? I'm getting similar error in log file with a large number of errors.

Hello,

Does the installation of JDK fix your number of errors?

We have mentioned it in this documentation:TalendHelpCenter:Requiring a JDK installation to build jobs starting from version 6.0

Hi,

no I'm not building jobs, I'm a new user of Talend trying to switch from Lavastorm, however, from following the "getting started guide", I can't launch Talend Open Studio. I've attached the log of the error as it looks the same as the thread. Admittedly, I'm using Windows 7.

So far, we are not targeting java 10. Please use java 8 instead.
