After migrating to talend 8 , my studio opens only on local mode .what cud be the reason

Have you created remote connection? Click the 'Manage connection' button and create the remote connections, then you are able to select the remote connection from the 'On connection' list after you launch studio.

Yes i am connected to the AWS europe region and also i am able to commit a sample job to the GIT with the local mode

Local mode means the local branch, you can commit the changes from local branch to remote Git server or pull and merge the change from remote Git server to local branch.
