Upgrading to a new server?

Hi,

I am in the process of getting a new server but unsure if the spec we are getting will be suitable for the QlikView version we want to be on?

We have 4 documents and 275 Document Cals and 10 named Cals

Current Server

Operating System : Windows 2003 R2 x64 Enterprise

Server Model : HP DL585 G6

Processors : Four 2.4GHz 6 Core processors

Memory : 64GB

New Server

Operating System : Windows 20012 R2 Standard (64bit)

Server Model : HP DL585 G9

Processors : Four 1.9GHz 12 Core processors

Memory : 128GB

We also want to be on the latest version of Qlikview 11.20 SR12 as we are currently are on 11.00 SR2 and want to know if there would be any issues by upgrading to this version from our current version?

Hi Ivan,

You shouldn't have any problems upgrading the server and Qlikview server version.

I don't know the details of your documents, how big they are, how many concurrent users access the reports, etc, but if everything works fine with your current server, then you won't have any problems with the new one as I see it's better and more powerful.
