TableView Model - Star Or Snowflake - Does It Matter?

Hi,

I am starting to get to grips with QlikView.

I have a query over the TableView and the logical data view.

I have a book that states you should always try for a Star structure.

Yet many examples I see on sites such as this use snowflake structure.

It is fair to say aim for a star structure but don't get hung up on it and snowflake structure is still an acceptable solution?.

I have the same diagram in the book I am working from but being an over-through perfectionist I was tunnel visioning myself down the Star Schema route.

I have decided it is best practice to have Star Schema but not essential and to always balance the benefits with the pressures of time etc. Obvious I suppose when you think about it.
