hierarchies in a script

Hi,

When I make a script to load a file, in the wizard there is an option to create 'hierarchies' defining a parent-chield relationship between two filelds.

Which is the use of this hierarchies??. I have made one, but there is no effect in the script...

The hierarchy prefix generates a complete hierarchy out of source tables that define parent/child relations.

Please provide sample data/application to demonstrate.

To gain a better understanding of hierarchies and how to use them, check out Henric's article on Hierarchies. This helped me when I started working with them and I still reference this article and the documents often.
