I am not sure if I understand, what do you mean with angle?

You could use the common set of trigonometric functions, if that's what you are after.

Maybe it would be helpful if you post a small sample and your expected result.

Hi Swuehl, Thanks for your response.

i am working on one project there i am having a fields of AngleTabPos, and RadialPos.

Example consider the Lense(Circular shape) , suppose these 2 fields values are spotted on Lens then i needs to find the angle between them.

pls see the attached qvw file.

As I understand you need both AngleTabPos and RadialPos to describe one defect location in polar coordinates.

So you won't calculate an angle between these two value, will you?

Do you want to calculate something between different defects? Since you already have the AngleTabPos, this should not be too complicated or do you need to use a different coordinate system here?

It would really be helpful if you could break it down to the most simple example, maybe only two defect, their locations and the expected outcome.

Should calculate angle between defect and AngleTabPos. And that angle should display as spot in concentration diagram.

As I understand, each record describes one defect. For some defects, there is no location in polar coordinates given (for example Defect.Bubble.Single or Lens.Missing).

Many defects already have locations set using AngleTabPos and RadialPos.

This is how I read your data.

What I don't understand is:

"angle between defect and AngleTabPos"

defect is no single field in your data. As I said, AngleTabPos is one attribute of what I would call a defect (record). If the location (AngleTabPos, RadialPos) are not given, how should we tell the location (and then - maybe we could go on calculating an angle between to items).

As I see, AngleTabPos and RadialPos are coming from your qvd, so what should we do if they are missing?

Defect is nothing but "DefectName field".

Please see the example figure in word document.

Sorry, that's still a mystery too me.

"If DefectName is“Defect.Debris” and its coordinate value of “AngleTabPos” is 140.4291728368,then in Clockwise we need to calculate its angle between both of the fieldvalues."

I don't understand "both of the fieldvalues" here. I checked if I get always two values per Lenskey or ID, but that's not true. Please clarify.

Hi ,

Can we rename the labels of each Trellis diagram in scatter chart.

i.e; Labels of each Trellis looks like 3/1, 4/1, 5/1 and so on but i am trying to change them as 1,2,3, and so on..

And how can i change the Horizontal slider to Vertical slider position in scatter chart (NOTE: I am using Trellis(both primary and secondary)).

To your second question, if you are refering to the slider for the trellis chart itself, I think it's just to exchange the order of HydCavityPX and HydCavityPY (promote HydCavityPY to the top). This will also change the order of displayed trellis graphs, of course.

To your first question, I don't know. But probably you could do it the same way as you or your collegue did in your first posted document? It seems that you have used text in chart or text boxes, but haven't tried.

Thanks Swuehl for your 2nd Question Solution.

For 1st Question, I tried LableName by using Text in Chart, But when i select only one Trellis diagram then other values are also displaying.

i.e; Total Chart diagrams are 4 , if i select only diagram, the other labelnames like 2,3,4 are also displays it should not happen.

Provide any suggestion on this if you have idea at any time.

And One more Question, can we provide an alert in concentration diagrams i.e; if dots in concentration diagram are in 1Pixel range then needs to plot an alert.

Alert is nothing but Highlighting the Specific dots which are in 1Pixel range in Red Color and rest of the dots should be in DefectName Color.

i.e; if i am selecting DefectName EdgeChip and EdgeTear , now they are having a Colors of Green and Yellow, For Alerts should have a Red Color.

Is it Possible ?

hi Swuehl,

I got information on plotting the dots angle in Scatter chart.

What i need is if i click any value in AngleTabPos , that value should plot as a dot and the dot should loacte at its degree values as seen in image.

Ex1: if i click AngleTabPos= 359.9502608980, then its value dot should plot at near to 360 degree shown in image

Ex2: if i click AngleTabPos= 270.0088420703, then its value dot should plot at near to 271degree shown in image

Ex3: if i click AngleTabPos= 90.012123503, then its value dot should plot at near to 91degree shown in image.
