A data island is a table that is not connected to any other table. None of its fields can also be found in any other table.

When you created a data model in QlikView (you can see the data model when press ctrl + t) you can see that the tables are connected.

If a table is not connected to a other table then it is called date island.

data island table is stand alone table which is not having any association or relationship with other tables in data model.

Generally we need this type of tables for calender objects/slider .

Hi,

It is nothing but if any table is alone in data model then we called it as Data Island .if you want link between this alone table and data model then we use the concat function .
