Num vs DocumentProperties/Number

Hello,

I would need to format my measures: Let's say, 2 decimals, thousand separator: ' ', decimal separator: ','

I was wondering what is the best option between:

(1) Using Num() in my script for each measure

In such case, would my expressions using such measure follow the format defined for the measure?

(2) Setting the format of each measure in the tab DocumentProperties/Number

(3) Using Num() in my pivot table, in each expression (that I have externalized as variable)

(4) Setting the format of each variable (containing expressions) in the tab DocumentProperties/Number

Is there any impact on performance, storage, bytes?

As my number of measure is high, and format might change during UAT, I would like to externalize the formating. In the option (3), it would be easy as I mount all my expressions through variables, from an Excel file.
