Hello All,

A simple show hide query...

I have a button (BU2278) which I want to use as a show condition in charts... can someone help me with this??? something like seen here

if(BU2278>0 ,1,0)

Hi Mady,

Please see the attachment.

I had used vMyToggle variable in the trigger to change the text Show/Hide. And also used the same variable in Chart Layout properties and used the conditional show expression. Also included the data points show & hide example without using VB Script. You can do the same task with VB Script.

Thanks for your reply,

but the problem I have is, the button which I am clicking on has got a Macro on it. When I click on the button I want a different chart which is not related to the macro to Hide.. anyway to do it?

Mady – You are welcome. I am assuming that you are callingthe macro through button click. If this is the case, then you can add one moreevent to the same button. If you haven’t understood what I mean then pleaseload your sample QV document and I’ll work an example for you.

It looks like when I tried with this variable it fixed and worked, but the actual problem was with other variables...

I dont understand why it wouldnt clear off all the Calendar Object Variables.... because I have some show condition based on the calendar objects, and I want them to clear off ... I think thats the original cause of my problem... can you help me with that...

Cant the calendar Object Variables be cleared off to make them blank??

Mady - Sure, I can try. Any chance of loading the sample QV document and explaining the problem within QV document? This makes it easy for me to test and solve the issue.

Hello DV,

The problem with this file is, I am using script files as standards to get the script and I dont have any QVDs used here. Thought the whole QVW size is 5 MB, as I am working for a financial client, the data is highly confidential and I cannot attach a QVW for this issue and I cannot create anything on the fly to show what i wanted...

Anyways as I explained before now I am able to Hide and Unhide a chart, however the other issue is, when I select a date in a calendar object variable, it doesnt clear off everything, when I do Clear All...

Any suggestions?
