I use "Open URL" as an action on a button to allow users to download a server side copy of the user documentation...Just tried in Chrome and it certainly allows for downloading..

I've got the path name behind a parameter if that helps - (full pathname, no quotes) - and then in the Action expression for Open URL, I've got =parmURL

As for force opening in IE - you'd probably have to run it behind a macro vbscript on the button..

There's not a pop up blocker on your Chrome install by any chance ?

We were working on a training document/dashboard and wanted to add a link to this site:

http://qvtraining.qlikview.com/DOWNLOADS_FREE-ELEARNING/How_Does_QlikView_Work/index.html

The problem we have is that we suggest our end users access the applications in Chrome. When we use this URL in an action in Chrome the actual hyperlinks to the training are missing. Oddly if I paste this into the address everything works. In IE this works fine.

How do I force the URL to open in IE?

Thanks,
