Hello,

I have a dashboard that runs on a trigger that keeps failing (pertinent log details below).

From similar posts on this topic, it sounds like it may be a database permissions issue; however, there doesn't seem to be a consensus.

Before submitting help desk tickets internally (and externally to Qlik if need be), was hoping someone may have some ideas.

This is due to error in the source application. Please check the log file

I'm attaching the entire log below - just wondered if anyone had this issue and knew of a solution they found that worked.

I'm checking in with those that helped build the .qvds that feed the app.

Hi Karen,

this is the task log, if you can post up the application log (this resides in the same folder as the qvw but is a .txt file with the same name) it will be easier to spot your problem.

If the application log isn't being created you'll need to enable this from the document properties and then run the task again.

seems to be the problem is ur able to fetch data but do not have access right back the data on same file.

means , u do not have complete access(write access) on the file to load.

Hi Karen,

you should be able to get further info from the document logfile. But, normally if you can reload from QV Desktop on the Server, but NOT from a schedule, it will be down to access writes on your data source.

What are you reloading from?

Is the datasource available at the time you are reloading?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

It should have occurred to me to run the qvw file outside of Publisher; when I did, I noticed one the qvd files failed.

Looks like someone moved the file path so am working to get it restored.
