Distributing a Report by E-Mail from QV Console?

Hello,

I have the following table with users and their bosses where they belong to a specific zone:

USER	BOSS	ZONE
STAN	MAX	NORTH
JACK	MAX	NORTH
SARA	MAX	NORTH
GABE	WILL	WEST
NICK	WILL	WEST
ELLE	ANDI	SOUTH

I need to create a report with this table in order to send an e-mail to each boss with a PDF document containing the information from users that belong to that boss in particular. Here's an example of what boss MAX should see:

USER	BOSS	ZONE
STAN	MAX	NORTH
JACK	MAX	NORTH
SARA	MAX	NORTH

I have the QVW file with the table and I created a report with that table. I have the PDF Distributor.

I was told that I should get to QlikView Console with the QVW in the Reduce/Distribute tabs and filter by column boss.

And then in Distribute add the e-mail address for each boss.

Is it that simple? Do you have any guide or example on how to do this?

Hi,

yes,u can achieve these using Reduce/Ditribute.

Add Boss & Email ID respectively in data model.

In QMC --> Distribute Tab --> Loop Field in Document --> Open Document --> Select receipient information as Email ID field (These field present in u r data model) --> Check user identity as No validation --> Destination --> Email

In File type tab --> Select your Report Name
