Hi,

We have Qlikview Server licence with SBE. Please guide me how to provide access to a new user to a Document.

in console ->document->select QVW file->document cal->add user

Thanks for reply. There I have already added, but what about the password and all? Where I have to add that.

As under Document CAL, I have added one user manually.

Hi,

To assign DOC CALS --> In DOcument Tab --> User Document --> Select QVW --> Apply DOC Cals

To assign Name CALs --> System Tab --> License --> Qlikview Server --> Client Access License --> Assigned CALs

I guess I should rephrase my question, how to add user first time in QMC so that later we can provide document access to him?

Open QMC> Go to Documents> Select the Application> On Right Hand Side Select Document CALs> For Rest steps

Access to document, for that I think will have to provide password and username to that user. Where we can do that?

Hi,

After adding user under documents, from where he will get password? As we have only Server not publisher, I can't see authentication tab in our QMC.

Navdeep,

If you mean creating new users in the QMC, that is not recommended but possible, and it is done using the System > Setup > DSC > Custom Users.

Once thing is license assignment, which is what people is helping you above, and another different thing is to actually grant access to QlikView to a user that does not exist in your active directory or whatever other security directory you are using.

Put in different words, with the exception mentioned above for custom users, your user must exist in AD, LDAP or your corporate security directory.
