deployment queries

Hi,

I have created 1 dynamic report in developer desktop ....having incremental load script.

kindly suggest the mechanism for deployment of this report in source document folder.

i am new here kindly suggest.

as per my understanding i will copy the entire project folder in the source document folder having qvw,qvd and other external files.

kindly guide.

Hi Vir,

In practical scenarios we need to have two separate folder structure of Data store i.e qvd s and for the source file i.e. qvw. so that their will be separation between qvw and qvd.

For source also you can have another level of folder structure, like all the source documents will be in a different folder and the actual dashboards in a different folder. This will make the source document more secure.

just calrify me the all source file and actual dashboard.

i have created separate folder in desktop for application,qvd and excel & text files.

i.e. folder structure

application

qvw

qvd

external files

kindly suggest the folder structure in server so that my incremental load will never fail while executing in server (reload).

make it as three different folder

DATA: for qvd's , excel ,text etc

Source: for generating the qvds

Target : the actual dashboards.

note: DATA and QVW should be two different mounts
