How important? Not very, I'd say.

When you've got auto minimize ticked on a number of items on a sheet, all but one will minimise when an object is restored, ensuring you only get one of the selected items showing. This can be used for saving sheet space, i.e. allowing the user to only see one of the charts means all the charts could be "shown" in the same position.

There are other ways of managing this though, a much more flexible option being utilising a show/hide variable control in the layout conditional show boxes for each object, allowing you to state which object(s) to show or hide at any time.

if you have only one out of dozens of Charts maximized, Auto minimze is a good choice.

you donot have to care about minimize other objects by the user or overlapping Charts

depending on customer requirments a Container object is another good choice as well

or - as Aaron stated - work with variables

I used all three methods in different customer Scenarios, each has it's good practise
