Slider Tack not Showing by default

The tack on my slider does not show up until the user actually uses the slider.

Is there a way to have it always show?

Also, is there a way to set the width of the tack and have that stick as the default?

Hi,

No option to make tack visible/Invisible.

In Presentation Tab - Thumb Tack - set it to dark colour. - tack will be more prompt

Width of Tack - There is no option to set width of tack.

On my desktop the tack is visible. On the Portal the tack only shows up when the user mouses over the slider. Is there a way to have the tack act the same way on the portal as it does on my desktop?

Do you have an initial value set? It won't show unless there is a value.

You could set the tack to be shown by default by through the following steps:

Settings -> Document Properties -> Triggers -> Select OnOpen -> click Add Action(s)

In the actions window 'Selection' action type and 'Select in Field' as the action. Give the field name eg: 'Start Date' and provide a logical expression eg: '=max(Start Date)'.

Save your document and reload. You may not see this working on the desktop, but if you open in server it will show the tack pointing at the most recent date in the slider.
