Straight Table shows same data for the whole dimension

Hi,

I have a very simple straight table that has a dimension of a location, the expression is the sum of the qty sold.

I was hoping that the straight table would show the sum of quantity sold per location, but all I get is the overall total for all locations shown against every line within the table.

The strange thing is that when I select a single location, the table then correctly shows the sum of quantity sold for that location

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I am doing wrong.

Hi,

It looks like there is no relation betweel location and qty. are you using two different tables for Location and Qty sold ?

They are both in the same table which is why I cannot see why this isn't working correctly when viewing the whole table, but does work correctly (and I have validated the number returned) when a single location is selected.?

I will try getting the dimension from the fact table as maybe this is the issue.

Ok, have now taken the dimension from the fact table and it makes no difference.

Hi Trevor,

Maybe sharing some dummy data and the expression you are using and the expected results would help us to narrow down the issues.

Are you using some accumulation, total mode other than Expression Total... in the chart?
