changing format of the data?

Hi ,

i have bar chart and i am showing data in date wise

dim is date

date:

1/1/2014

1/2/2014

and expr is sum(sales)

now i am getting chart date wise i have like 1/1/2014 1/2/2014 in x-axis

but my req is i want change it in x-axis like 1/jan/2014 ,2/feb/2014 ?

how to do this ?

Date(Date#('1/1/2014','DD/MM/YYYY'),'DD/MMM/YYYY')

if date field is already dual, then simply

Date(date, 'D/MMM/YYYY')

will do as a calculated dimension.

Else you could change the number format in the chart properties.

Hi,

Add another calculated field in the load script or you can use calculated dimension in chart also

Load

Date(date,'DD/MMM/YYYY') as NewDatefield

From Source;

Or if not in date format

Load

Date(Date#(date,'D/M/YYYY'),'DD/MMM/YYYY') as NewDatefield

From Source;
