QMC help

Hi All,

i have two user account on server, user1 and user2 and one is administrator which have admin rights.

user1 and user2 are development users.

through user1 i can use qlikview management console(QMC) but through user2 i dont have access to use QMC.

what i want is through user2 i can also access the QMC.

what can i do for this?

User2 can be assigned a document administrator or supervisor role (System->Setup->Your QV server->Folder access).

Open your qmc and follow the path I mentioned above.

hi Tresesco sorry i m not clear with your answer, above path shows me the mounted folder path.

and i want to open QMC through user2, i have access through user1 but want to to open QMC through user2 as well

add that user to qlikview administrator groups

Try to open "Computer Management" on your server (this is Windows....not in the QMC).

In the left pane, look for "Local users and groups".

In the right pan, you should now be able to see group called "QlikView Administrators". Add user2, to this group - then it should work.

hi thanks for revert, but through this i can access into the network like thorugh user2 i can hit server and login into it.

but it is not allowing me to use QMC.

i ant to use QMC thorugh user2

hi arul thanks for your revert. but this not what i want..

my problem is thorugh user2 i am not able to open QMC i want to operate it with user2.. at user1 it is allowing me to operate QMC same thing i want to user2

I am getting this issue, i have given admin rights to user 2 as well.

Access Denied

Membership of local security groups is missing.

Please refer to the manual for more information
