BO to Qlikview Migration

Hi..we are trying to create a tool in qlikview where we can migrate any BO application to Qlikview.

We have managed to get the SQL part from BO to an excel.But is unable to proceed further.We are only trying to migrate the data model.Any idea how this can be done?

What are the approaches we can take to migrate the BO applications to Qlikview?

I think with data rocket you can read universe as you database.

Dear Mugdhaojha,

In order to migrated from BO to Qlik, you may have to consider the following:

1. Migration BO Universe to Qlik data model

For the BO universe, you may open with BO tool (Designer) to view the table relationship created which is the field and condition the source tables joined for create BO report. This should be similar to the associated modeling.

2. Migration BO reports to Qlik dashboard

This will take some times as you will need to check the queries and the report for the custom measure / formula and filter condition. You will need to understand the logic and transfer into Qlik key measure.

For the report layout, you just need to find a better visualization objects for present similar report to the key users.

3. Implement NPrinting for reports which are scheduled to email as pdf to endusers.

You may check the BO CMC console for the existing reports which are scheduled and email to users and create similar task in NPrinting.
