So what will be the set analysis expression??

Hi Amit,

something along the line of

Sum({<[YearField]={$(=Max([YearField]))}>} Sales)

should work

Year should be your field according to your app?

sum({<Year={'$(=Max(Year)'}>}Sales)

It works for me, see attached (make sure your spelling is exact with the field names, sometimes I type it without a capital letter to start and it loks correct but it errors as it doesn't recognise the field).

Please share your app, it may be because of different field name or any other mismatches.

Hi Amit,

Simlpy replace Sales with Salesunit in the expression i suggested or try the expression suggested by Carly McClintock.That should work.

Hi,

you can try

Sum({$<Year = {$(=Max(Year))}>} [Sale Unit]).

You can try this too

make a variable 'var1' and assign

=max(Year)

and try this

Sum({$<Year = {$(var1)}>} [Sale Unit]).

By this method you can check the value of varaible and see if the qlikview is calculating it correctly.(for troubleshooting purpose.

check the Year field data and have a look at the format, most of the suggestions already should work, option why not is maybe that field
