Issue with Pivot Data

Hi Team,

I had come across a scenario where I have data in my qv report (pivot table) as below:

Date	Name	Hours	Jobs
		54.65	33
13/11/2014	A	7.5	5
13/11/2014	B	4.7	3
13/11/2014	C	5.5	2
12/11/2014	A	7.5	1
12/11/2014	C	7.0	6
11/11/2014	B	6.5	4
11/11/2014	C	3.75	8
10/11/2014	A	4.7	3
10/11/2014	B	7.5	1

Now, I want a report which displays data in a following way, as below:

Name	Hours	Jobs
A	19.7	9
B	18.7	8
C	16.25	16

I have tried couple of options like I have taken the 'Date' Dimension then in the Presentation Tab I selected Hide Column, but the results are incorrect.

Need your help.

Use NAme as dimension and 2 expression Sum(Hours), Sum(Job)

Use Name as dimension, and Sum(Hours) and Sum(Jobs) for the expressions. Or have I missed something in your requirements.

You need to remove the Dimension from the pivot chart insted of hiding it.

HI,

I have taken User as Dimension and and Sum(Hours) and Sum(Jobs) for the expressions as expressions.

Even I have removed Date dimension, but even then its not working.

Seems to be simple, but not able to produce in the required way.

hi,

try this hope it will help you out

set Dimensions as Name (only)

even More:- try this

you can set date on top site of the bar to show the value by date

and rest of all same (expression and all that thinks )

Hi Ashfaq,

That is what the required output should be, but there is a problem that hours and jobs I'm pulling from a different DB's where there is no common field to link them. To associate them I have one excel file as an interface. But without the session dates I'll not be able to get the correct hours.

That's where I'm struck at.

Just remove Date from Dimension list,You will get your required output.
