Hi All,

we have small business edition without publisher running in our organisation. There is a business requirement that our management want to access our Qlikview BI application through internet. Most of time they are not sitting in office, and that's why they are asking to provide access of BI application on internet so that they can access and analyze data\information on their Laptop\Ipad\Mobile from anywhere and anytime.

Please provide me necessary steps for changes required to publish application on internet.

Hi,

Can you brief more about your environment?

What type of security you use. I think its Active directory only. As other security mechanism is not supported by SBE.

All you have to do is bind your server with public IP.

Make sure relevant ports are open.

Take assistance from your Network of administrator team.

They will help you in this regard.

yes we are using Active Directory for user authentication and also using management management console for handling applications. Presently all applications are accessible through qlikview access point. So let us know about all necessary steps for providing access of published application through internet.

You just need to have one public IP that will point to your Qlikview server that is.

Dear Amit,

we are asking for accessing qlikview application through internet. For example suppose if our users are sitting anywhere and have internet facility then if they type url like http:\\wondercement.com\bi in their browser then pubished BI application should be accessible through this url.

Through company VPN they can access the dashboards outside of your office.Its a network set up need to be done.

Can check with your network team to enable VPN. so that the system outside office can enable VPN login through there id and can access dashboards.

with out VPN, we can't access the office application out side of office.

If not as ASHFAQ mentioned, we can give one public IP address as websites consists of.It s kind of network configuration

Yes, we want to give one public IP, but what are necessary steps to assign public IP to access through internet. If U have details regarding the same then please share with me.

QlikView point of view we can get help from community here.But issues related to network we can't get help

For any company there will be network/admin team, configuration requirements can be share with them so that they can help you out in resolving the same.

Because its issue related to configuring:

1.public IP

2. Network switches

3. Providing access to users based on some windows directory
