My understanding about best practice is that the overall performance should be maximized by optimizing the data model. That is by perfecting the data model not just in form but in function too. Form as in the fact table should be at the center linked with dimension tables surrounded by it (if it is a star schema). Function as in: it should be free from synthetic keys, avoid circular reference by using foreign keys, use joins wherever applicable, applymaps are even better, use resident load..&nbsp;&nbsp; precalculate values to save processing times, Apply incremental load, use QVD data format ...the list goes on. So all these actions lead to making the performance of Qlikview efficient and reducing the consumption of resources. And this is what i gather about Qlikview best practices. So best practices is all about performance and efficiency or is there some thing else.
