Hi,

Basically there will be three types of files in your qlikview folder other then .QVW

1) .pgo file consist the license details (session , document , user CAl)

2) .meta file contains document properties details (i.e , document category, distribution list information e.t.c)

3) .Shared file contains the details of all the shared object created by the user for the respected report.

But where to find User Bookmarks in local computer?? I have made a User Bookmark of my application on my local system. But don't know where to find the created User Bookmarks ??

How you are accessing via web,

if yes, above is the answer for the same.

If locally. I suggest you to create a prj file.

I created prj folder for 2 of my application but after creating prf folder my those application started giving me error and doesnot open.

What to do ?

Is it by : View-> Turn off/On Webview ???

if we want to see the application in web then dashboard should be reloaded and distributed using server.

If not only in desktop we want to see, we can turn on web view.

It depends on types of bookmarks. From QlikView Reference manual:

15.1 Bookmark Types

The current state of selections can be saved as bookmarks for later use. Bookmarks capture selections in all

states defined in a QlikView document. When recalling a bookmark created in version 11 (or later) the selections

in all states will be applied. There are different types of bookmarks:

Document bookmarks are stored inside the qvw document. They will always be available to whoever

opens the document locally or from a QlikView Server.

User bookmarks are stored separately on the user’s computer. They will only be available to the

user who created them on the computer where they were created. If the document

is moved or renamed all personal bookmarks related to it will be lost.

Personal Server bookmarks

are only available when working with a document on QlikView Server and

only to authenticated users. They are stored in a repository on the server and

are accessible to the user from any computer where authenticated.

Shared Server bookmarks

are only available when working with a document on QlikView Server and

only to authenticated users. Any user who has created a personal server bookmark

may flag this as shared to other users. They will then become available

to other users. Just like personal server bookmarks shared server bookmarks are

stored in a repository on the server.

Old thread, but not informative.... a customer wondered now and I had no clue since I dont use Desktop much... In Qlik Desktop its defined where User Files as user bookmarks are stored in Settings->User Preferences in the Locations tab. Default setting is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView. In the folder Bookmarks. File name is DocumentName.Five-Groups-of-8hexadecimal-numbers.BM.xml
