Hi,

Just search in list box

u have data like this

India

Aus

Usa

then search in list box I AND A

then it will display India and Aus

From the help file:

A field cannot always be set to logical and mode. The reason for this is that the and alternative is logically meaningful only if the concerned field is linked to only one other field.

The AND-mode option is only allowed under very strict conditions, imposed by the theory behind the QlikView logic. In order to be used in AND-mode, the following criteria must be fulfilled:

the field must only exist in one logical table,
the field must be the second column of no more than two columns, and
the table must not contain any duplicate records, and
the table must be loaded using a distinct qualifier. If the table is loaded using a Select statement, you must use a preceding Load distinct *.

For AND mode activation your field to be only exist in one logical table and it should be second column of the table also read the mention post for this.

In 2 column table, second column is of AND mode and does first column a PRimary Key ??

Since the 3 point says "

the table must not contain any duplicate records, and

So it has to be a Primary Key.

I also experienced that the AND-mode must be part of the Initial selection state of the document.

Don't know why, but if the AND-mode is not in the Initial state, it get's lost sometimes in the listbox Settings.
