topic Mapping Load (decoding) for a large number of fields with a consolidated decoding table. in QlikView

Problem:

I have an input table where field values (cat1, cat2 etc, Plz refer to attached sample qvd) are encoded. There is a consolidated table in excel file format giving descriptions for those encoding. I want to replace those encoded values with the descriptions.

Complexity:

There are hundreds of fields and therefore, manually defining a mapping load for each of the field is not preferred. Can we do something in load script to do this decoding?

Also, the decoding table has field names bit different from the one used in input table e.g. C1 instead of cat1 (and this is not standard, we can have cat2_provided or my_cat2 for field C2). Therefore, I plan to use a wild card match to get the filed values from decoding table as well.
