show/hide chart options conditionally

Hello Guys,

I want to show/hide chart options conditionally based on e.g. OSUser name, e.g. if I have opened dashboard with my ntid then I will only see print option and if someone has opened the dashboard with his/her ntid he/she will only see send to excel option, is this doable in Qlikview supported both in web and desktop client and how, please guide.

Hi,

I don't think you are able to change what should be shown in the caption based on what user that are logged in (if you not looking into have separated charts for the different groups with different options set). You could instead look into an option to move the functionality of print and/or export to be triggered using a button etc, that you can set show conditions on.

Would that solve your problem?

Just wondering if you have looked at SECTION ACCESS for this. There is a secured user capability that includes the right to print (see below).

I have NOT tested myself
